What Makes Duck Key Fishing Unique?
Duck Key fishing charters offer the best of two worlds: Islamorada to the northeast and Marathon to the southwest. Why? For offshore fishing, being in between these two locations, you are closer to a larger variety of fishing grounds known as the Humps. These include the 409 hump, the Middle Hump, the Islamorada Hump and the Marathon Hump. The underwater structure of these locations makes them prime hunting ground for pelagics like dolphin, tuna, wahoo, and more. An offshore fishing charter that leaves from Duck Key gives you access to all of these.
A charter out of Duck Key will give you more options for tarpon fishing as well. Most tarpon charters out of nearby Marathon are to the Seven Mile Bridge. A Duck Key tarpon fishing charter can take you there, or you can fish Long Key Bridge, or even stay right at Duck Key and fish Tom’s Harbor Cut.
Types of Duck Key Fishing Charters
I specialize in Duck Key fishing charters and fishing charters out of Marathon, FL. The Florida Keys offer an amazing variety of fish that we can target on offshore (deep sea) charters, reef & inshore charters, and tarpon fishing charters. All charters include fishing license, bait, tackle, rods, reels, ice, fish cleaning (no hidden costs!) and most importantly, courteous service. Charter departure is convenient whether you are staying at Hawks Cay in Duck Key or nearby in Marathon.
Offshore (Deep Sea) Charters
[Duck Key, FL]
Offshore Florida Keys fishing charters take you to the Marathon Hump and the Gulfstream for fast-action fishing for powerful and hard-fighting fish. We can target anything from dolphin (mahi-mahi) to blackfin tuna, wahoo, sailfish, amberjack, and swordfish. My fifteen years of experience daytime swordfishing will make catching these amazing fish in the daylight an experience you don’t want to miss.
Reef & Inshore Charters
[Duck Key, FL]
Florida Keys reef and inshore charters cover everything from fishing for snapper and grouper to snorkeling for lobster in season. A special type of reef and inshore charter offered is a Florida Keys Snorkeling Adventure. I also offer nighttime bullynetting for lobster in season.

[Duck Key, FL]
Tarpon fishing in the Florida Keys is an activity available almost year-round. The fight you’ll get from a tarpon is an explosive, adrenaline-filled adventure that you will never forget.
